Description

This butterfly costume consists of a set of wings built into a velvet waistcoat and a set of wobbly anntenae mounted on a hairband.

The wings are made of several meters of custom printed pure cotton fabric that is highlighted with metallic foil to enhance the monarch pattern. The wings are then hung on an aluminium wire frame, which is hidden in a black cotton velvet waistcoat. Each wing measures more than 60cm and their shape can be slightly adjusted given the wiring. The wings will flap at the lower edge when moving in the costume.

Separate antennae are made from pompoms and fluff wire and mounted on a satin hairband.

Please note that this costume takes several weeks to complete since the fabric has to be custom printed for each butterfly. The Monarch is available in classic orange, hot pink or blue.
